Full Title: We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank
I was walking about the other day trying to find interesting scenes to capture and I ended up near the outskirts of Sharjah/Dubai when a sand storm started kicking in. While trying to find some cover I found this before me. Im not entirily sure what on earth happened, but I instantly took a photo and the wind gave such a faded out texture for the buildings. It's quite an obscure sight and Im still wondeing what exactly occured there.
In any case, it was probabily the most interesting photo that I've managed to take thus far, and a far amount of PS was needed to restore it into decent quality (I was far away on the road, used zoom with an already my dirty lens and the sand blowing everyhwere didnt help either).
The clash of modern bricks and people driving their hate machines VS. sunken ship + lone souls was far too tempting not to capture. It really showcases how hideously lonesome and cold this place can be. We're all like Yoshima batteling against pink robots.
The title is the tentative name of Modest Mouse's new album, set to be released later this year. So this is my idea for their CD cover. Might mail it to the band.

Awesome album, awesome picture. Like what the others above said about the color. It reminds me of an old black and white film getting the technicolor treatment. Good work.
